Pat Shade

Pat Shade: 2004 ICROSS CANADA Humanitarian Award Recipient

Mr Pat Shade was supposed to receive his award from MP Dr. Keith Martin. Unfortunately he missed Keith’s departure from the warehouse by minutes during the loading of our 2004 container for East Africa.

This photograph was taken by Billy Willbond whilst Pat Shade was helping to load school supplies, found items and bicycles for ICROSS CANADA in the University of Victoria Security Parking Lot. Mr. Shade has been gathering and donating these precious items to the poorest of the poor for the past several years. The used soccer balls from UVIC Sports Centre will continue to be a big hit with and bring joy to the school children in the Ngong Hills! Indeed, the Award is well deserved by this wonderful, humanitarian.
