Oh I would love to gather gear, gold pan and fishing rod
and venture forth along the creeks, up in the lands of God
but here I sit in Saanichton amidst a pile of paper
I dream about the open road – the gold and fishing caper
gathering meds and linens and each little comfort doll
we will bring joy to children – we’re answering the call
We have plenty – we won’t complain – after sunshine comes the rain
and what we do, me and you, is help to ease the African pain!
